Csound Material (Tutorials)
Over the last years I made a couple of teaching/learning “Getting started..” material for the Csound software. For me, Csound is one of the most flexible computer music instruments available, because it is extremely versatile but at the same time very structured. Furthermore Csound runs on almost any system (OSX, Linux, Windows, Android ..) and even on embedded devices like the RaspberryPi or BeagleBone.
2018: Csound on Bela
-
The latest project (2018) involved porting Csound to the Bela board, together with Bernt Wærstad and Victor Lazzarini. Here we also provide some examples on how to use Csound on Bela.
-
Bernt I. Waerstad and I wrote a detailed introduction on ‘How to use Csound on Bela’.
2013: Csound on RaspberryPi
- As part of the COSMO (Csound On Stage Musical Operator) Project we brought Csound to the RaspberryPi. The latest instructions on how to compile and run Csound on the RPi can be found here.
2011: Csound Floss Manual
- An other project to mention here is the Csound Floss Manual, where I contributed some chapters in 2011.
2011: First Csound Conference
- I was part of the organizing team of the “First Csound Conference” that took place in Hannover in 2011 and co-editor of the proceedings “Ways Ahead: Proceedings of the First International Csound Conference, edited by Joachim Heintz and Alex Hofmann and Iain McCurdy. Cambridge Scholar Publishing, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.” (Link to Google Books)
