Our article with the title “Enabling FAIR use of Ethnomusicology Data – Through Distributed Repositories, Linked Data and Music Information Retrieval” has been published in the Empirical Musicology Review Special Issue on Open Science in Musicology (http://dx.doi.org/10.18061/emr.v16i1.7632).

It is the result of a workshop series in 2018/19 that we were running in collaboration with the Mahidol University in Thailand and the TU-Wien (Project-website: https://iwk.mdw.ac.at/asea-ethmusdb/). I am thankful for all the contributions of the co-authors Tomasz, Peter, Asztrik, Hande, Ardian, Boonsit, Clare and Andi, but also to Anita Taschler and Joseph Bowman who supported the idea and helped organising the workshops. Furthermore, the project was financially supported by ASEA-Uninet.

Please also note, that our article got selected one of the few that has a commentary article published in the same issue (http://dx.doi.org/10.18061/emr.v16i1.8154). I find this a fantastic start to further continue the discussion on this topic.
