Multiphonics
and other contemporary playing techniques of the German
clarinett.

This work presents a method to produce around 800 multiphonics on the German-system clarinet. In addition to detailed fingering directions, each example is accompanied by a sound spectrum and WAV file on CD for listening. This paper, which is will also available as a CD and book, is the result of the author’s many years experience as the clarinetist of the contemporary music group “Ensemble des 20. Jahrhunderts”, and his intensive cooperation with modern composers.
